If you only talk about work when you are supposed to be hanging out with friends, they will think you only talk about yourself and you do not really care. If you feel tired only when you have to spend time with your loved ones, and not at work, then you are working too much.
Working too hard can ruin your relationships because it will reduce communication and make both parties become uninterested. It can even ruin your working relationship as well. Work is important, but it is never more important than people. So, put work in its place.
