Bon Jovi’s “syrupy” Love Songs Are About His Wife
Bon Jovi claims to be the “crazy visionary” of the relationship, while his wife is the glue that keeps everything together.
They’re obviously doing something right because staying married for over 30 years is hard enough. But doing it in Hollywood seems virtually impossible!
Tragedy Strikes
Months after the engagement fell apart, Posey’s mother died. “She was my best friend,” Posey says, talking to People in 2016 about his abysmally bad year. He called it the hardest year of his life. “She was the glue that held our family together.” Losing his mom was like losing his entire family. Struggling with depression, he said, “Whenever I have too much down time, I start to get sad.” Season 5 of 'Teen Wolf' was dedicated to the memory of his mother.
Times have been bad, but, who knows, maybe the preteen romance will reignite, and the story will take a happy turn again.
Jon Bon Jovi Met His Future Wife in 1980
Jon Bon Jovi has been married to his high school love Dorothea Hurley since 1989. Right in the middle of his Jersey Syndicate Tour, the two eloped and tied the knot. The couple hopped on a commuter plane, flew to Las Vegas, and were married with the cabbie as the witness. They did not even stay the night.
They were wed at the world-famous Graceland Wedding Chapel, made famous after the Bon Jovi couple graced its nuptial altar. The secret marriage caused an apoplexy of angst when news got out that the 27-year-old heartthrob summarily ended his bachelorhood. The backlash against his bride was intense, but they got through it. The couple share four children, one daughter and three sons.
Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks Met in College
According to the couple, they fell in love with each other on the first day of college. After dating for ten whole years, they finally tied the knot. Max Handelman caught Elizabeth Banks completely off guard with a surprise proposal. On July 5, 2003, they were wed at the beautiful Graystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. They have two sons.
When they met at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993, they were both attending a frat party. Things were wrapping up. “The house had run out of beer so the party was pretty much over,” Handelman said in 2010. The lights came on and the fraternity brothers were kicking people out. And that’s when he first caught a glimpse of Elizabeth Banks. He walked over with a buddy and started a conversation.
The College Sweethearts Are Still Sharing Conversations
Talking with HuffPost, Banks shared, “I do think people grow together or they grow apart. We definitely grew together. We were constantly making decisions that kept us close.”
They joined talents as producers and now own a company called Brownstone Productions, which they launched in 2002. They’re responsible for all three 'Perfect Pitch' movies. Before launching the media company, Handelman worked on Wall Street in finance, sinking 80 hours a week into the career. Now things are perfect. “Forming the company really was about trying to combine our professional and personal goals,” Banks said. And it worked.
