Sara Del Rey first emerged into the wrestling world when she tried out for Arsion (a Japanese wrestling championship) in 2002. She then debuted with Illinois-based Shimmer Women Athletes in 2005 but she became best known for her work with the WWE. She made a brief cameo appearance in the La Lucha libre circuit in Mexico.

But she achieved her greatest success in wrestling when she defeated her mentor and inspiration, Jackie Sato, in the WWWA World Championship.
