Have you ever seen a romantic movie that made you feel like grabbing someone and falling in love immediately? Doing anything for love becomes heroic when you connect to the chemistry between movie lovebirds, such that you hold your lover tight, and say “I will do anything for you, my love.” It happens to almost everyone (except for the ones who have stones for hearts and have no clue what we are talking about).
How would you feel if you found out that your love life model relationship, the unsolicited relationship gurus that you have appointed without their consent, was a total fluke? Yes, you know they were acting, but do you know how much effort it had cost them to put up the act, outside their real life differences? No, you don’t.
Well, this article is about to tell you that many of your Hollywood love birds are actually hate birds! Was that too harsh? It is the truth of the matter though… Many actors and actresses who have acted side by side in blockbusters, even kissed and did all the lovey dovey things, are not actual friends in real life. They can’t stand each other, and they don’t want to work with each other. However, when they eventually have to work together, they choose professionalism. The create the chemistry just to get the paycheck.
Anyways, without too much talking, here are some of these pairs that detest each other, and the movies they acted in.
ROMEO AND JULIET (1996) – This epic movie (in the sense of popularity, not genre) was a huge hit for both Leonardo DiCaprio and his Juliet, Claire Danes. It was an adaptation of the legendary drama by William Shakespeare’s (worthy of the title, god of literature). If you know the book, then you can imagine the movie. The was love in the air, the water, sounds, sights, everywhere! It was the perfect template for true love and sacrifice. However, it is unfortunate that all we saw was acting, especially from Claire’s side. People who were present with them on set said she never spoke to him on a personal basis. They basically did not get along, because of personality clashes. DiCaprio was too playful for her and she was too serious for him. So, their union ended when they died in the movie. They don’t talk till date or even work together.
ONE TREE HILL (2003 to 2012) – This is quite an interesting case. How could one film a movie together with someone they hate for nine straight years? Actually, that did not happen. They actually loved each other at the beginning. They even tied the knot along the line, but Chad Michael Murray met Sophia Bush on set, and they fell in love. They got married, and then they divorced. All of these happened during the period of filming the series. Their marriage later three months short of a year, and they still had to act as couples on the movie before they did not have to anymore because Chad left. They still do not talk and haven’t worked together again.
Love can be fake, and it can look so real at the same time. This reinforces the saying that no one should judge a book by its cover.
