Hosts of the biggest shows on TV need to be in healthy relationships too, you know. Popular drag queen RuPaul, considered as the United States’ most commercially successful drag queen and who is also responsible for making the art of drag be accepted, tied the knot this 2017 with his boyfriend Georges LeBar – a painter from Australia.
The couple have been together for more than two decades. LeBar and RuPaul met in 1994 at New York City’s Limelight nightclub. They have been together since. LeBar has a 50-acre Wyoming Ranch. RuPaul describes himself as a shapeshifting drag queen who does whatever he wants at anytime.
Christine Quinn & Kim Catullo
Love doesn’t always have to happen at first sight. Just ask Kim Catullo. That is exactly what happened with her and her eventual partner. When she was asked to meet Christine Quinn, she refused to do so. At that time, Quinn was running for mayor of the city back in 2013. Fast forward many years later.
Catullo and Quinn are now happily together seemingly forever. The two are now married and their wedding was filled with the who’s who of the city. Some of the special guests from that impressively long list included Chuck Schumer, Michael Bloomberg, and Andrew Cuomo.
Lara Embry & Jane Lynch
Glee star and all-around actress Jane Lynch was so in love with clinical psychologist Lara Embry that they tied the knot in May 2010. The two met during a fundraiser in San Francisco a year before. But they say that all good things come to an end, and sadly, the two eventually divorced in 2014.
Lynch cited the reason for the divorce as irreconcilable differences. She also found the divorce process difficult as the ex-couple stated they still care deeply for each other. Lynch will split her earnings with Embry but claims she doesn’t mind this aspect of divorce, claiming, “It’s just money.”
Mike Doyle & Andrew Rannells
The couple who do the same things together, stay together - it's just a fact of life. This statement at least implies that shared passions are an important key in keeping one’s relationship alive. Another couple who share the same love for their work is Andrew Rannells and Mike Doyle.
The two are both actors. However, Rannells also voice acts and sings. He is so good, his theatre performance was awarded a Tony. Meanwhile, Doyle, besides acting, also directs, screenwriters, and produces. Being in the same industry helped them to stay together, but they ultimately went their separate ways in 2018.
