Dunedin, New Zealand
New Zealand is known to have some of the most wildly beautiful landscapes on earth and Dunedin is no exception. Dunedin has a rich Scottish heritage that you will see in sites like the Larnach Castle.
Explore the charming and artsy neighborhood of Port Chalmers and don’t miss the coastal views at Tunnel Beach and at the lighthouse found in Taiaroa Head. The Royal Albatross Centre, found in the same region, also has a wildlife reserve where you can spot one of these unique birds.
Shoalhaven, Australia
Shoalhaven is located on the Eastern coast of Australia and has activities to suit nearly everyone. You can surf, hike, dive, go fishing and visit Seven Mile Beach if you prefer the outdoors.

Puerto de la Cruz, Canary Islands, Spain
You may have never heard of Puerto de la Cruz, but you will want to add this beautiful city to your travel list. Located on Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, Puerto de la Cruz is a tantalizing escape for those who are thirsting for island life.
While you are in Puerto de la Cruz, you will find a variety of restaurants as well as an outdoor market, all the while taking in incredible island views. Amman, Jordan
Another beautiful location in the Middle East, Amman, Jordan is well worth a visit. This city is rich in culture and fascinating sites to visit. Just in this city, you can visit the Temple of Hercules at the Amman Citadel, which dates back to Roman times as well as the Byzantine Basilica and Umayyad Palace among other historical sites.

St. Ives, Cornwall, England

Alexandria, Egypt
Exotic, mysterious, and filled to the brim with ancient history, Egypt holds much intrigue for its visitors. Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt, houses the great lighthouse, one of the wonders of the world. Another site not to miss is the Bibliotheca Alexandria (or the modern version of the Library of Alexandria).

Male, Maldives
The Maldives is a top honeymoon spot but this beautiful place isn’t just for newlyweds. Male is the capital of the Maldives and is the largest city here. Male is also an Islamic city so you will want to make sure to dress more modestly when you are not relaxing by the pool.
Aside from gazing at the incredible water here, you can get a taste of the local culture by checking out the local fish market, art gallery, and museum.
Anchorage, Alaska
Alaska may not hold the same vacation appeal as some warmer spots, but that’s because this place has an appeal all its own. In Anchorage, you can adventure into the Chugach mountains as well as discover the history of native Alaskans.
There is also a rich pioneer and mining history in Anchorage for tourists to find but if you want more nature outings, you can also go kayaking, canoeing or cycling along the coastal trail. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife!
Split, Croatia
For those who are looking for another Croatian destination, Split is a lovely alternative. This coastal city (which is also the country’s capital) is home to beautiful beaches, islands, and fresh seafood.
In Split, you can also check out the ancient, Roman palace of Emperor Diocletian and the rich, ancient history surrounding the area. And, if you want to get out of town, you can hike in the Marjan Forest Park, located at the top of Split. There is so much to see in the stunning, baltic city.
Swakopmund, Namibia
Swakopmund is a coastal town in the African country of Namibia. Visitors will notice a German influence as the area was colonized in 1892 by German, South West Africa.
This unique city has plenty of coastlines to take in as well as an aquarium and a museum if you want to learn more about local history. If Namibia is on your list, you need to check out Swakopmund.
Meteora, Greece
It may look like a scene from another planet but Meteora, Greece is just the place to rediscover the surprises of the Mediterannean. Located in central Greece, Meteora (which means “suspended in air”) is full of lush green slopes and elevated monasteries. Meteora was established by monks who lived in this region during the 11th century.

Its stunningly perfect gardens, ancient temples and towers and weird dishes are just some of Tokyo's gems. If you're looking to see the city's more modern side, head over to the Harajuku neighborhood in Shibuya.
Paris, France
Paris has a long-standing reputation for being one of the most beautiful and magical cities in the world. And it's no wonder why. The famous City of Love has the dazzling lights of the Eiffel Tower, the gorgeous Jardin des Tuileries, the historic Arc de Triomphe, and countless other sites.

City of Aspen in Colorado, USA
Perhaps the smallest city on this list is the ski resort town of Aspen. Located in the beautiful state of Colorado, in USA, Aspen is at the foothills of the famous Rocky Mountains. City of Penang Island, Malaysia
Also known as George Town, this city is made up of Penang Island and a number of other smaller islands. The thing that makes the City of Penang Island special is the mix of Asian and colonial architecture. Be sure to visit the City Hall, St. George's Church, the High Court and Fort Cornwallis.
An interesting historic fact is that, before Malaysia got its independence from the British, George Town was declared a city by the late Queen Elizabeth II. That makes it the first city in Malaysia's modern history.
Riga, Latvia
Although Latvia might not exactly be a popular tourist destination, it really should be. Its capital city, Riga, has a a historical center so impressive that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Riga has the world's largest collection of Art Nouveau architecture, making this city a very colorful place to walk around in. For shopping lovers, the place is a paradise, since Riga is known for its stores' particularly low prices.
Singapore, Singapore
Singapore is an island city-state located off the coast of Malaysia, and it's famous for its population melting pot, its beautifully modern architecture and its hot climate. The city's best nature areas are the Gardens by the Bay and the famous Punggol Waterway Park.
Singapore is also known for its incredible street food, which has won many culinary awards. For more fussy travelers, it also offers countless luxury restaurants with fine dining experiences.
Boston, USA
The city of Boston in Massachusetts, USA is one of the oldest in the country. Home to a lot of North America's history, Boston offers a 2.5 mile trail called the Freedom Trail, which you can walk through to see all of the city's sixteen historical sites.

Florence, Italy
Italy isn't short of stunningly beautiful cities, but Florence definitely makes the top five. Nicknamed the "Athens of the Middle Ages", the city is considered by many to be the birthplace of the Renaissance.
Needless to say, Florence has art works, monuments and architecture like no other place on earth. For art lovers, the Palazzo Pitti and Uffizi Gallery are absolute must-sees. For those who like to walk around, there are countless little streets and markets to get lost it. And, of course, delicious food.
Budapest, Hungary
Even though Budapest has a bitter history, it has certainly managed to rebuild and turn itself into a city that's definitely worth visiting. The capital of Hungary, Budapest has tons of sites to see, including the famous Parliament, the beautiful Chain Bridge and the ancient Buda Castle, a palace that dates back to the 13th century.

Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is a world-famous tourist destination, housing history, culture, art, and beautiful nature. With its incredible canal system, and its extremely narrow, 17th century houses, this city is the grand capital of Netherlands.
Rent a bike and ride around the city, stopping to see the Rembrandt Museum, the Anne Frank house and the impressive Van Gogh Museum. If you happen to be lucky enough to visit during springtime, make sure to not miss the wondrous tulip festival.
Seoul, South Korea
Seoul is a city with the perfect mix of old and new, historic and modern. The ancient temples and palaces are lit with modern neon lights, creating an almost fantastical vibe. One of your first stops should be Seoul's Bukchon Hanok Village.

Edinburgh, Scotland
If you're a lover of literature, Edinburgh is the place for you. The capital of Scotland is rich in history and has produced some of the world's most incredible writers, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Muriel Spark and J.K. Rowling.
The small city of Edinburgh has many sites to see, among them Arthur's Seat, the famous Edinburgh Castle, and the spookiest graveyard in the world, Greyfriars Kirkyard. The locals lovingly refer to Scotland as Auld Reekie (Old Smoky in Scots), because back in coal-burning days, people that lived in the countryside always saw a cloud of smoke over the city from afar.
New York, USA
New York is truly one of the greatest cities in the world. This North American city has everything you could ever imagine: incredible food from every part of the world, stunning art, historic streets, lush nature, high-end shopping, theater shows, cinemas, architecture, and much more.
Comprised of five different boroughs, New York City is a very densely populated place. The city sits at the meeting point of the Hudson River and the Atlantic Ocean, me of its most iconic sites are the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the Rockeffeler Center, Broadway, the MOMA, the Met, the Lincoln Center, and of course, Greenwich Village.
Hoi An, Vietnam
Vietnam is home to many incredible cities, and one of those is Hoi An. The whole city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it has the goods to back it up. Located on Vietnam's central coast, Hoi An is known for having an incredibly well-preserved Ancient Town, which is cut through by canals.
Visit the famous Japanese Bridge, which has an impressive Buddhist temple to its side. One of the most incredible thins to witness in Hoi An is the Lantern Full Moon Festival, which happens every full moon cycle. At the festival hundreds of people exchange lanterns, flowers and other 'good luck' gifts.
Antigua, Guatemala
Imagine a city with rich, Spanish Baroque architecture and three huge volcanoes. Sounds like something from a novel, right? Well, the city of Antigua in Guatemala is exactly that. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Antigua has a fascinating history and beautiful nature.
Among the most impressive landmarks are the Aro de Santa Catalina and the beautiful, bright-yellow Merced Church.
London, England

Russia has a fascinating history, and the city of St. Petersburg holds a lot of it. Bordering with the Baltic Sea, this port city is the home of centuries old historic buildings and culture. Not to mention its stunning, incredibly detailed and ornate architecture.

Eze, France
