What’s great about taking an interest-based class is that you’ll meet new people, which can be a lot of fun!
#2 Start a DIY Project in Your Home
When you live on your own, there is always a project that has to be completed. Many people simply pay someone else to do it to avoid the effort, but doing it yourself may make a mundane life much more fascinating. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Maybe you’ll rework an old vase or make a spice rack out of old pallets.
#3 Channel Your 5-Year-Old
Self Remember when you were a child, life was rarely boring. This is because kids use every ounce of their creativity and are open to exploring new things. What would your five-year-old self like to do right now? Perhaps you would take up a paintbrush or go outside and craft something out of random stuff found around the yard. So just let yourself play and live out your imagination to the fullest.
#4 Plan a Trip
A holiday is always a good idea. This will give you something to look forward to. Even if you can’t take a vacation right now, simply planning one will transform your mood. Even if you don’t have the time or money to go on a trip, consider a staycation, which may be just as fun and relaxing! So making your life exciting doesn’t require anything drastic, a few simple changes can make a world of a difference.
#5 Swap Devices for People
Stop staring at your smartphone and reconnect with the actual world and the people around you. It doesn’t have to be too complex, keep it as simple as you like. Go out for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or even just cocktails! The point is, phones can never replace people.
#6 Go People Watching
This is the oldest one in the book. Find a bench in a crowded area, maybe a part or even a station, and simply observe the people there. Humans are endlessly fascinating. Consider what their lives are like, what they are thinking, and where they are heading. You’ll never know if you’re correct, but it will give you something to think about.
