Now: Melissa Rycroft
Rycroft took her loss with stride and didn’t disappear from the public eye. On the contrary, she appeared on “Dancing With the Stars.” What’s more, she went on to appear in the “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” season, and she won! She also co-hosted the first season of “The Bachelor Pad.” Guess ABC really wanted to make it up to her after The Bachelor incident.
Melissa got engaged in 2099, with best friend Tye. The couple had their first child, daughter Ava, back in 2011. They went on to have two more children. Rycroft also starred in a reality show with her husband, and currently co-hosts “Redneck Island,” a reality show on CMT (Country Music Television).
The Bachelor, Season 13: Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft
This was a season with a riveting twist. As it turns out, Jason Mesnick, an account executive from a Seattle suburb, managed to shock viewers on season 13's finale. Jason proposed to finalist, Melissa Rycroft, only to dump her on the 'After the Final Rose' special, for runner-up, Molly Malaney. Come on, dude. You don't do that, especially on national television!
Mesnick explained that he'd had a change of mind and he was really in love with Molly. That's fine, Jason, but next time make sure to make up your mind before you announce anything on national TV, don't you think? Molly Malaney decided to give him a chance, and the two got married!
Now: Jason Mesnick
Jason married Molly in 2010, and the couple are happily married, living in Seattle, where Jason works as a real estate agent. The no-longer-bachelor had his first child, a beautiful daughter, with Malaney.
Jason had a son from a previous marriage, which ended in 2007. Apparently, the two kids get along fine and they're one big happy family. Funny how things turn out, eh?
The Bachelor, Season 14: Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi
Season 14's Jake Pavelka, an American pilot and reality TV personality, chose mean girl Vienna Girardi at the end of the show. Jake proposed and the two went on to appear in a number of celebrity magazines and extend their 15 minutes of fame as long as they could. But the couple broke up after just a few months, in 2010.
Obsessed with fame, Pavelka went on to meet with Girardi, on camera, for a screaming match, one month after they broke up, in July 2010. No surprise there, since apparently, Pavelka broke it off with Vienna over the phone! But judging by their appearance on the last season of "Bachelor Pad," it seems the two have somewhat made up and are trying to be friendly. Or at the very least, not start a screaming match.
Now: Jake Pavelka
Jake has openly dated a number of women, since breaking up with Vienna. He also appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" and "Bachelor Pad," among other shows.
As for his love life, it was rumored that he was dating Broadway star and Tony Award winner, Kristen Chenoweth. However, they weren't in it for keeps and broke it off eventually. Pavelka announced that he'd started seeing a woman from Arkansas, in 2018. We haven't heard about the two since, though, so it seems like it didn't work out.
