We all know that Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo had a very dysfunctional relationship with his on-screen son Kylo Ren. But in real life, his bond with his real-life son Ben Ford is much more stable. A child from his first marriage, Ford never pressured Ben to follow him into the world of Hollywood.
Instead, Ben Ford enrolled into culinary school back in the ’80s. Since then, he has become a successful chef and restaurateur, opening restaurants such as Doorstep Market and Ford’s Filling Station. He even published his very own cookbook about a decade ago – “Taming the Feast.” Sadly though, Ben and his wife got divorced in 2023 after 14 years of marriage.
Morgan Freeman (50) & Alfonso Freeman (50)
We often associate Morgan Freeman with the 90s, because that's when he was at his biggest. But way back in 1959, he had his first son, Alfonso. However, Morgan admitted that he wasn't around during the early years of his life, and Alfonso didn't even know that he was his dad until later on! Thankfully, the two finally connected when Alfonso was 19 and they've been close ever since.
Alfonso has also pursued an acting career like his dad, even appearing in some of Morgan's movies, such as "Se7en" and "The Shawshank Redemption." He's also shown up in shows like "ER," and "The West Wing," among others. But there's no denying that his most famous role was in the flick "The Bucket List," where he played Freeman's on-screen child.
Liam Neeson (28) & Micheál Richardson Neeson (28)
As you can see, the similarities between Liam Neeson and his son Micheal Richardson are pretty striking. The young man has also gotten off to a terrific start in the world of acting, appearing the films such as "Anchorman 2" and "Cold Pursuit," among others. He also lent his voice to play the young version of Qui Gon-Jinn (Neeson's character) in the animated series "Tales of the Jedi."
Actually, Micheal comes from a talented acting family on both sides. His late mother Natasha Richardson was an actress, and so is his aunt Joely Richardson, as well as his maternal grandmother Vanessa Redgrave. And his grandad Tony Richardson was also a filmmaker. With that kind of stock, it's an absolute guarantee that he'll be acting for many years to come.
Paul Simon (41) & Harper Simon (41)
He might not be as iconic as his legendary rock star father Paul Simon, but Harper Simon has had his lion's share of success in the music department too. Having guest starred on numerous talk shows to play his music and having his music featured in a plethora of shows, it is clear that Harper has become pretty prolific over the years.
But that's not all. Harper Simon has also had a successful spell as a journalist, having conducted interviews for the likes of Issue and LA Review of Books. In the love department, Harper has been linked with actress Parker Posey from time to time.
Steve Harvey (20) & Broderick Harvey Jr. (24)
It feels like Steve Harvey has been around forever. Well, put it this way, he's been around long enough to spawn seven kids! And Broderick Harvey Jr. is, in many ways, the spitting image of his iconic TV presenter dad. Sadly though, the two didn't have much of a relationship during his upbringing, as he moved in with his mother following their divorce.
Thankfully though, the two were able to make amends. In the last decade, Broderick has founded his own shoe company by the name of Steps By Stephens. Amazingly, the company was a charitable effort. For every pair sold, three meals would be donated to a child in need.
