Whoopsie Daisy
Camilla, Queen Consort, is known for her big heart. She is the patron of several non-profit organizations, including Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Trinity Hospice, and Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centers. But she’s also known for having a sleek sense of fashion. This was still true to this day, but the wind got to her and caused the skirt of her dress to fly up during this public appearance.
At the same time, her hat kept trying to blow off of her head. But, like most royals, she remained composed and simply held them down and kept moving. We suppose only true blue-blooded royals could get away with something like this.
Whoops
While most of the wardrobe mishaps on this list happened at no fault of the actual royal, the same can’t be said for this one. While in Birmingham with the prince in 2018, the duchess wore a new tailored J. Crew coat that looks a little – stiff. That’s because she didn’t remove the X-stitch that holds the bottom of the coat together to hold the vent together before it’s sold. But it is supposed to be taken out before it's worn.
Although, as much as fashionistas may have noticed the faux pas, it didn’t seem to bother the masses, who ended up buying so many of the coats that J. Crew was sold out.
Gender Equality
Despite the numerous instances where the wind has mischievously targeted royal women, leaving them vulnerable to prying eyes and camera lenses, it's only fair that the men also experience such moments. In this case, the prince encountered an amusing wardrobe mishap as his coattails were caught by a gust of wind precisely as he bent over to assist with moving a floral arrangement.
The unfortunate combination of wind and an awkward pose resulted in a slightly unflattering photograph. However, unlike their female counterparts, the prince didn't face the risk of exposing more than intended due to the nature of his attire. Nonetheless, this incident serves as a light-hearted reminder that even the royal men aren't immune to the whims of nature and the occasional humorous situation.
Singing the Blues
While it's tempting to assume that this particular wardrobe mishap was intentional, it's difficult to believe that she was unaware of the sheer top of her skirt. Surely, one would think she would have taken a moment to check her reflection in the mirror before stepping out of the house. Additionally, it seems improbable that her staff would have neglected to mention the visibility of her underwear prior to her departure.
Furthermore, the choice of matching briefs suggests a deliberate styling decision. Regardless of the intentions behind it, there's no denying that the Givenchy outfit looks stunning on her. However, it remains unlikely that she wasn't aware of the sheer nature of her ensemble, adding a hint of intrigue to the incident.
Hello, Legs
Typically, Kate Middleton doesn't showcase such a generous display of her long legs, and it appears that she had no intention of doing so on this particular day. However, Mother Nature had different plans in store. Just as a supporter was handing her a bouquet, an unexpected gust of wind swept through, catching her dress and threatening to lift it skyward, revealing her thighs to the eager cameras and the amused gentlemen behind them.
Thankfully, the fortuitous timing of the bouquet exchange allowed her to quickly grasp her dress and prevent any further exposure. This incident took place in 2013, so since then, the Duchess of Cambridge has likely amassed considerable experience in gracefully saving herself from potentially embarrassing moments caused by the whims of the wind.
