Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman (Jewelry Designer)
Actress Anne Hathaway met jewelry designer Adam Shulman at the Palms Springs Film Festival in 2008. They were introduced by a mutual friend and the chemistry was undeniable. Hathaway recalls talking to a friend soon after the introduction in an interview with Harpers Bazar telling them, “I’m going to marry that man.”
The pair began dating that same year and four years later they got married. The Oscar award winner revealed that she and her husband fell for each other immediately after they met, but it took them a while to get together, as they each thought the other was in a relationship. However, after learning that the other was single, their relationship quickly progressed. Hathaway once said, “I am his and he’s mine.”
Steve Harvey and Marjorie Harvey (Audience Member)
Steve Harvey first laid eyes on Marjorie Harvey when she walked into a comedy club while he was performing on stage. He allegedly stopped the show to watch her walk to her seat, and when he started his routine again he said, “I’m sorry, I don’t know who this is, but I’m going to marry her.” The feeling seems to have been mutual as Marjorie had said, “I was over the moon for Steve when I first met him.”
The only problem was that Harvey was still married to his first wife, Marcia Harvey. Even though he and Marcia split in 1994, it would be another 15 years before he and Marjorie got married. They dated briefly after his divorce, but ultimately Harvey moved on and was married to another woman, Mary Lee Harvey, between 1996 and 2005. After his second divorce, Harvey and Marjorie finally got their chance and started their relationship. They got married in 2007 and have been happily wed ever since.
Ringo Starr and Maureen Cox (Hairdresser)
Famed drummer Ringo Starr fell in love with Maureen Cox, an 18-year-old from Liverpool who was learning to be a hairdresser at that time. Although she was just a teenager, Cox was a regular at the Cavern Club, which was a popular hangout spot for The Beatles back then. It wasn’t long before the two hit it off and became inseparable.
After learning that Cox was pregnant in 1965, the lovebirds got married and went on to have three kids together. However, the rockstar lifestyle ultimately led to their demise. During the height of their relationship, they went everywhere together, but it seemed to be too much of a good thing. Their divorce was finalized in 1975, as Starr’s countless affairs and excessive drinking led to problems in their marriage.
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose (Model)
Amber Rose had reportedly once proclaimed she would never get romantically involved with another rapper again, but then she met Wiz Khalifa in 2011. The model recalls exactly how she felt when she met him, saying his charm was so strong that she couldn’t help but fall in love with him immediately. In an interview, she confessed that she told her mom she wanted to be with Khalifa forever and have all his children.
The couple walked down the aisle together in 2013 and had a son together the same year. However, their love story didn’t last long after rumors of cheating on both sides took a toll on the relationship. They went their separate ways in 2014 and currently, they share custody of their son.
Ruben Studdard and Zuri McCants (Met in Walmart)
In 2006, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard met Zuri McCants while making an appearance and signing autographs at a Walmart store in Atlanta. The pair became close friends and ultimately went on to have a romantic relationship. They dated for two years before they tied the knot in 2008.
But their hasty relationship was not destined to last for long. Suddard filed for divorce in 2011, citing “irreconcilable differences.” McCants signed a prenup, and despite her fight in court for some kind of compensation, she walked away from the marriage with practically nothing. It’s one of the biggest downfalls of dating a celebrity as a fan!
