Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio Fernández (Reporter)
Spanish reporter and TV presenter Pilar Rubio Fernández had been crushing on the Real Madrid captain for a long time and was following the sport for reasons other than her job. It seems the feeling was mutual though, as soccer player Sergio Ramos admitted to dreaming about Fernández before the two met.
He described it in an interview with Sports Illustrated saying, “It was a little abnormal, to dream three times about the same person. And it is true that I did know of her because she was a television presenter.” After a few awkward interactions, the two started dating in 2012. They ultimately got married in Seville, Spain in June of 2019 and have three boys together.
Victoria Adams and David Beckham (Soccer Player)
In the ‘90s, the Spice Girls were all the rage in the United Kingdom making it nearly impossible not to know who they were. Famed soccer player David Beckham admitted that he was a fan of the British pop group and that he had a crush on Posh Spice, aka Victoria Adams. Allegedly, Beckham had said the singer was his idea of perfect.
The two were introduced in 1997 after they met at a charity soccer match. Beckham was reportedly too overwhelmed with shyness to maintain a conversation with the Spice Girl, but he must have said something right. Adams and Beckam soon became inseparable and just two years later, he got to marry his celebrity crush. Still together all these years later, the ageless couple has four children together.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian (Reality Star)
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have run into each other time and time again, ultimately leading to a close friendship. Rumors of a flirtation between the two circulated after West admitted he was a fan of the reality star and had a crush on her. He allegedly revealed this after former girlfriend Amber Rose accused him of sharing explicit images with the media personality to which he replied "I wish."
It didn’t seem like things were meant to be for West and Kardashian though, as she walked down the aisle with basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011. However, the marriage was short-lived and Kardashian immediately ran into the arms of her long-time friend. The duo started hanging out regularly and after a short time, they got engaged. In 2014 they were married in a larger than life ceremony and currently have four kids together. Sadly they parted ways in 2021.
Matthew Lewis and Angela Jones (Event Planner)
When actor Matthew Lewis accepted the role of Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, he probably didn’t think his decision would lead to him meeting his future wife. Lewis met Angela Jones at an even promoting Universal Studios’ Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in 2016. Jones was working as an event planner for Universal Studios in Florida at the time.
"I never believed in soulmates until we met,” Jones wrote in her lifestyle blog Sunshine State Of Me. “We came from two different countries, 4,334 miles apart, and yet we were one and the same." Less than a year after they met, Lewis popped the question during a trip together in Paris and in 2018 the couple tied the knot.
LeBron James and Savannah Brinson (Businesswoman)
When you talk about basketball’s greatest players of all time, the name LeBron James certainly makes the list. Not many players have matched the legacy set by Michael Jordan, but James gives him a run for his money. James met Savannah Brinson in high school when she was a cheerleader for a rival high school. Even then, Brinson knew there was something special about her relationship with James.
She told Harper’s Bazaar that James surprised her after she forgot her leftovers at the restaurant during one of their first dates. Understandably, Brinson has always been James’ number one fan and stuck by his side as he rose to the pros. The two got married in September of 2013 in San Diego, California after he proposed at New Year’s Eve party in 2011.
