The TLX
Estimated cost: $35,000
This has been completely revamped and now will be featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder which will produce 272 hp and 280 lb-ft. Expect Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), too! After a long hiatus, The Type S model will return with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6, as well as 10-speed capabilities.
What has been redesigned however is the brakes and suspension, now offering a sportier driving experience.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Estimated cost: $55,000
This is essentially a refreshed version of the current E-Class, with an upgraded grille, bumper, and new LED lights. The 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 has officially been replaced by the 3.0-liter turbocharged mild-hybrid inline-six (still the same 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.) An additional plug-in hybrid E 350e with a powertrain of the 2.0-liter turbo-four now joins the ranks.
The engine which has a similar architecture to the 48-volt mild hybrid system with the new inline-six will arrive as early as the end of this year.
BMW 4
Estimated cost: $45,000-$70,000
Some people might take issue with this new grille, but BMW just wants us to get used to it. It is technically pretty similar to the 3 Series which means the U.S. consumers should expect the following; turbocharged gasoline four- and six-cylinder inline engines with eight-speed automatic transmissions and rear- or all-wheel drive.
Don't expect any manual transmission, this is dead in today's market.
Jaguar XJ
Estimated cost: $90,000
The last Jag was powered by an internal combustion engine. Next year the automobile will be entirely electric making it the flagship model. While the new model will be internally different, it will have that conventional Jaguar look and not appear as aesthetically groundbreaking as the I-Pace. The new Modular Longitudinal Architecture is intended to support moderate hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
In addition, top-spec models will supposedly be equipped with a 100-kW-hr battery as well as four motors developing a total of 800 hp
Toyota Mirai
Estimated cost: $60,000
Look forward to this total beaut of a car that has been completely redesigned. It certainly may rise in popularity (and somehow price.) Expect it to be lower and about 3 inches wider. It will also be driving on the rear-drive architecture and 20-inch rolling stock.
We are supposedly also expecting a more Lexus-like type driving performance in that the cabin will be quieter and equipped with a better infotainment system, as well as a killer sound system and improved aerodynamics.
