The Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup citric acid
3 tablespoons Epsom salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Lavender essential oil
Frankincense essential oil
Witch hazel essential oil
Bath bomb molds
Mix Dry Ingredients
Start by getting all your dry ingredients and mixing them together. First mix the baking soda, corn starch, citric acid, and Epsom salt together until combined. You can even jazz it up a little with some dried flower petals, because why not? This is all about self-care!
Add The Oils
When it comes to essential oils it’s totally about personal choice. Some popular favorites are lavender and frankincense. Add 10 drops of whatever oils you like and combine with the dry mixture. You should then have a crumbly texture. Add the witch hazel a little at a time. This acts as a binding agent, so mix until its moist. Don’t get it too wet, that won’t hold.
Pack it Up
Once you have a solid mixture, roll it firmly into shape. You can use molds too. Make sure they’re solid and then leave them to dry for a few hours, ideally overnight. If you don’t want to use them straight away, make sure to store them in a clean dry place. Put them on display even, they’re pretty!
Enjoy!
You made your own bath bombs so naturally, it’s only fair to pop them into the tub and enjoy them. These relaxing little things will soothe a headache, relax the muscles, and help you forget about your stressful day. This is the beauty of essential oils.
